Council Says Yes to Greater Density on Snelling Ave

In a 6-1 vote, Saint Paul City Council approved the the plan to rezone Snelling Avenue South from Midway to Highland Park to incorporate multi-unit mixed use development.

The plan calls for the rezoning of approximately 20 percent of the study area from Residential to Traditional  Neighborhood which means more dense mixed use commercial and residential buildings with greater height limits.

This corridor is an extremely important artery for commerce and housing – and especially transit. The A Line BRT continues to be a great success following last year’s launch as a connector between the Blue Line Light Rail, Green Line Light Rail and Roseville Mall area.
