A (new) new vision for Ayd Mill Road

Last year, Mayor Carter and the Saint Paul Department of Public Works proposed redefining Ayd Mill Road as a two-lane road and a bike and pedestrian thoroughfare. While the original proposal’s estimated costs came in at twice the initial expense, a new plan would still make space for safe bike and pedestrian traffic but reduce the cost to $7.5 million. This coming Wednesday, Feb. 19 the City Council will vote whether to approve the use of bonding funds for this project. Please write, email, call or talk to your City Council member and ask them to vote “Yes” to fund this project.
