Sustain Saint Paul Summer Social
July 27 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Join us at Crosby Farm Regional Park from 6:30-8:30pm on Tuesday, July 27, for a casual summer social with Sustain Saint Paul! Come enjoy some tasty appetizers, meet some new people, and learn about our work to champion abundant housing, low-carbon transportation, and sustainable land use in the City of Saint Paul.
This social will be a sort of “birthday party” for Sustain Saint Paul. Sometime around 7, we’ll introduce some of our founding members, and invite them to share a few words about their early advocacy for the Ford Site redevelopment project (now Highland Bridge). Other than that, there will be no formal program: this is a chance to mix-and-mingle, and meet some great folks who love Saint Paul. Come and go as you please.
We will provide tasty appetizers and water (and compostable/recyclable plates, cups, napkins, and flatware). Please consider bringing snacks to share, your own reusable water bottle, and/or other non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is not permitted in the park.
We’ll be at the picnic shelter on the western end of Crosby Farm Regional Park. From Shepard Road, go down the long hill on Crosby Farm Road past the Watergate Marina, and you’ll see us across the parking lot.
The Sam Morgan Regional Trail (which parallels Shepard Road from downtown Saint Paul to the Highway 5 bridge) takes you all the way to Crosby Farm Road. Just be aware that you’ll have to climb the long hill to leave the park afterwards! We recommend bringing bike lights.
The 54 bus on West Seventh Street is the nearest route. Get off at Maynard Drive (near Davern Street) and walk south on Davern Street. Cross Shepard Road, and turn left down Crosby Farm Road. It’s about a mile from the bus stop to the park.
Interested in getting a ride? Send us a note, and we’ll get in touch to try and help you arrange a ride with a friendly Sustain Saint Paul person.
