Special guests! Rethos Executive Director Heidi Swank and Education Manager Natalie Heneghan will bust some myths on the overlap between sustainability, affordability, community development and preservation.

Natalie Heneghan is the Education Manager at Rethos: Places Reimagined. She creates learning opportunities about old and aging buildings, how they’ve evolved, and how to take good care of them. Natalie is committed to making building rehab more accessible and less daunting, and she wants to ensure everyone has the tools they need to take care of places they love. Natalie also serves on the board of Build Reuse, a national organization committed to turning construction and demolition waste into local resources. She is a fierce advocate for keeping usable materials out of the trash and reducing our reliance on new things. Natalie holds a BA in History from Macalester College and a Master’s in Heritage Studies and Public History from the University of Minnesota.
