Join Sustain St. Paul for a RESCHEDULED walking tour of Cathedral Hill, hosted by St. Paul’s own urban geographer Bill Lindeke! (This event was originally scheduled for August 17th, but we rescheduled because of a rainstorm.) Bill will lead us to some of his favorite examples of Missing Middle Housing in the area, and demonstrate how abundant and diverse multi-family housing contribute to the vitality of the neighborhood.
The tour will start and end at Boyd Park (at Selby Avenue and Farrington Street), so come and hang out with us before or after the walking tour. Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage! Alcohol is not allowed in Boyd Park. There are many restaurants with patios nearby, but none that can accommodate a large unruly group like ours; so we’ll gather at the park instead. Sustain St. Paul will try to bring a few extra beverages.
5:30 - Meet and mingle at Boyd Park (Selby Avenue and Farrington Street, near YWCA)
6:00 - Walking tour begins
7ish - Walking tour ends, more mingling at Boyd Park
8ish - Event concludes
Nearest bus route: the 21 bus goes right by Boyd Park along Selby Avenue!
Nearest bike route: Painted bike lanes on Summit Avenue and some parts of Marshall Avenue. Western Avenue has “sharrows,” meaning that bikes and cars are supposed to share the street.
