Saint Paul Bicycle Plan update

Public comments: message received!

Public feedback came from 22 events and presentations, emails, and resulted in over 1,700 online survey responses. City staff have reviewed this feedback and produced a document summarizing the information.

Staff will incorporate this feedback into the updated Bicycle Plan and share the draft during the second round of engagement throughout Spring 2022. Staff hope to bring the updated plan to the City Council for adoption in Summer 2022.

Continue to visit stpaul.gov/bikeplan in the coming months to learn how you can be involved in the review of the draft updates.

About the city’s Bicycle Plan:

A bicycle plan is a document that tells staff where in the city bike lanes and bike paths should go. City staff and partners refer to the Bicycle Plan when making decisions about how a street should look and function. This update builds on the engagement and planning that went into the current Bicycle Plan, which was adopted by the City Council in March 2015.

The Update will plan for and provide more information on separated bike lanes and shared use paths, which are more comfortable to bike on for people of all ages and abilities. This update will also be a chance to prioritize resources for the planned bike network.
