Defending the Minneapolis 2040 plan
In June 2022, a Hennepin County district court judge halted the implementation of Minneapolis’ groundbreaking 2040 Comprehensive Plan, which enabled more multi-family housing options throughout the city. At the invitation of Neighbors for More Neighbors and some pro bono attorneys, Sustain St. Paul helped prepare an amicus brief to support the City of Minneapolis’ appeal.

Support bikeways in the East 7th/Arcade project
For 3 years, MnDOT and the City’s Public Works Department have been discussing and planning an upcoming paving and partial reconstruction project on state Highway 61 on Saint Paul’s East Side that will be done in 2024-25.
Saint Paul Bicycle Plan update
Public feedback came from 22 events and presentations, emails, and resulted in over 1,700 online survey responses. City staff have reviewed this feedback and produced a document summarizing the information.
Staff will incorporate this feedback into the updated Bicycle Plan and share the draft during the second round of engagement throughout Spring 2022. Staff hope to bring the updated plan to the City Council for adoption in Summer 2022.
